Welcome to Think Maths

Think Maths visit schools to run workshops and give talks for a wide range of ages and abilities.

Our sessions are interactive, engaging and cover mathematical content which will grab the attention of students and inspire them to get excited about maths. We show students the wider world of maths beyond school while giving them a chance to develop invaluable mathematical thinking skills. Our aim is to inspire students to be more motivated in normal lessons.

See our sessions page for more details of our schools visits. NOTE: We are now also taking bookings for virtual talks. See the sessions page for more details.

We also make free resources for teachers - have a look at our video resources page and our other resources page.

"I still talk about your presentation all the time. I really found it inspiring for me as a teacher, and truly entertaining."

About us

Think Maths was set up by Matt Parker, the Stand-Up Mathematician.

As a former teacher Matt started Think Maths to go into schools and deliver engaging talks. Matt now talks about maths in the media, is a YouTuber and best-selling maths author.

Matt is joined by maths speaker Zoe Griffiths.

Like Matt, Zoe started out as a classroom maths teacher and is now an experienced maths speaker, giving talks at schools in the UK and internationally, at large scale events such as Maths Inspiration, teacher conferences, science festivals and comedy nights.

Think Maths works closely with other speakers in the maths community.

We frequently work on projects with 'Friends of Think Maths' Rob Eastaway (director of Maths Inspiration and maths author) and Ben Sparks (maths speaker known most recently for his appearances on the Numberphile YouTube channel), amongst others.

If Zoe or Matt are not available for any booking request we receive, we will investigate if any of our 'Friends of Think Maths' can take the booking instead, and will put you in touch with them.
